Maybe you have read some of Daniel Amen’s books or seen him on PBS.  He is a psychiatrist who took a non-traditional path.  Dr. Amen talks about healthy living and brain health.  He discusses the impact of diet and exercise on the brain.  I love Dr. Amen’s philosophy because he makes the food – brain connection.  Throughout my career I have seen the impact of diet and exercise on mental health time and again!  I don’t think that mental health professionals talk enough about the importance of diet in improving symptoms.  This is a longer video, but I hope you will watch it.  The content is worth your time, I promise!
